Real Estate Tour Videos are the New Must-Have for Agents

Cool house videoAccording to the NAR, 70-80% of home sellers say they would list with an agent that uses video to market their property. Yet, less than 5% of agents are actually using video. 5%!!! It’s still an almost-completely untapped market.

Here are some powerful stats to digest:

  • More than 1 billion unique users visit YouTube each month, spending more than 4 billion hours watching videos (YouTube).
  • Combining video with full page ads boosts engagement by 22%
  • Enjoyment of video ads increases purchase intent by 97%, and brand association by 139%.
  •  About 46% of people say they’d be more likely to seek out information about a product or service after seeing it in an online video.
  • Subscribers opting out were reduced by 75% thanks to video content in email marketing
  • Video E-mail messages generate 2-3 X higher click-thru rates compared to static E-mails.

A well-crafted real estate tour video has the potential to garner far more exposure for a given listing, versus a traditional print and photo presentation. With a thorough sharing strategy integrating a YouTube or Vimeo channel, mainstream social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, and e-mail, agents can market both themselves, and their listings to a virtually unlimited audience. Video content will increase website traffic and lead generation. Conversion will also increase simply by virtue of making the agent with video content stand out above the fray. Placing a rider advertising the video along with a for-sale sign can capture passersby who can easily watch the tour from their smartphones, then click through to the agent’s website, or just call them on the spot for an appointment. Prospective buyers are more likely to call an agent they’ve “met” already through a video.

Easy Breakdown of eXp Realty Revenue Share Plan In Action

eXp Realty Revenue ShareJust a quick, friendly warning: This message is a bit long, but TRUST ME, it could very-well change your life. I mean it. Take the 5 minutes to read it. It will be worth it.

The real estate business is inconsistent and unpredictable, even for the most experienced agents. For most of us, the day we stop selling is the day we stop earning. When the well runs dry, there’s nothing left to drink. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a scary proposition. That’s why I’m investing in my present and my future with eXp Realty’s amazing revenue share plan.

eXp Realty Revenue Share Calculator

eXp Realty Revenue Share Calculator

Check out our simple Revenue Share Calculator right HERE

Here’s how it works. You recruit agents into the company. They sell homes. You get paid. It’s that simple.

For example. Using that same Revenue Share Calculator I shared up above, let’s imagine you recruit some very average agents.

  • You recruit agents that sell 6 homes per year.
  • The homes they sell are roughly the national average of $200k each.
  • Those homes have an average SOC of 3%

Are you with me so far? I’ve simply presented what a very average (if not below average) real estate agent can be expected to produce.  Let’s continue… Continue reading

Can You Ever Retire From Real Estate?

The real estate business is inconsistent and unpredictable, even for the most experienced agents. For most, the day you stop selling is the day you stop earning. When the well runs dry, there’s nothing left to drink. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s a scary proposition. That’s why I’m investing in my present and my future with eXp Realty’s amazing revenue share plan.

I’ve been an agent for over 8 years. I’m not what you’d call a grizzled veteran, but I’ve been around long enough to know that once I stop making those sales calls, the money stops coming in pretty soon thereafter. Sure, there are those few lucky agents who, either through circumstance, hard work or sheer charisma, manage to keep working off of referral and repeat business without much effort, but they are the exception, rather than the rule. And then, of course, they still have to actually do all the work involved in transactions. I think we all know agents who are still out there pounding the pavement well into their 60’s and beyond.  And there’s nothing wrong with that…if you are both willing AND able. Personally, I think I’d rather be free to travel, write, visit my friends and family…to do just about anything besides sell homes, assuming I don’t end up sick or injured and incapacitated. What then? Continue reading

eXp Realty Celebrates its 3rd Birthday!

It is hard to believe that three years have passed since we first launched eXp Realty up in Bellingham, WA.  At the time, we had just a couple of dozen agents spread among our teams in Bellingham, Seattle, Portland and Phoenix.  Exciting as it was, there was no way to know what would happen, or whether our budding company would survive.  I am pleased to say that, not only did we survive, we have grown faster and farther than we ever dreamed. Well…maybe not dreamed, but… We’re now in 25 states, with hundreds of agents and growing faster than ever.

With three years and 25 states under our collective belts, it is clear that eXp Realty is the real deal. We’ve won several awards for innovation and continue to grow faster and farther with each passing day. Our industry-leading technology, comprehensive educational platform and revenue share program continue to set us apart from the herd.  It is an exciting time for us, with still brighter days yet to come.  Continue reading

At eXp Realty, Education is Key

Many Ways to Learn at eXp Realty

Education is a priority and business is changing at breakneck speed. Most companies become dinosaurs not long after their launch as a company while other, more nimble, players exploit weaknesses in information flow, newer less expensive technology or talent and generally speaking simply out-hustle the competition. Information on best practices no longer comes from the top of the organization. Often those best practices come from the middle or from new players who have recently joined. Sharing and making available that information in a real-time and meaningful way is one of the more challenging exercises, especially for legacy organizations. Continue reading

How Are You Running Your Business Now?

Think about how you do business now.  Do you find that you spend more time working from home than you do from broker’s office?  Most agents have adapted the home-office concept as a way to eliminate the cost of desk fees and other fees charged by their firm.   My question is, has your broker decreased your commission split since you stopped using his resources?  Probably not.
